This Sunbeam Road racer is extremely well-preserved despite its 78 years of age. It was purchased new from L.E. Chambers Cycles of Rochester by a Mr. Pankhurst, who was a founder member of the Medway Wheelers Cycle Club. He sold it to a local collector of lightweight bicycles, who has also cherished it, as you can see from the photos below. The machine is totally to original specification, with optional white Bluemels celluloid mudguards instead of black. It even retains the original Bluemels bolt-on rear reflector, which you can see in the catalogue illustrations.
